My Vax Massachusetts: SSG and MDPH's Joint Venture for Vaccination Records | SSG
NEEDHAM, Mass.–Strategic Solutions Group (SSG), which has provided technology solutions to public health departments throughout the United States for more than 15 years, is proud to announce the launch of Massachusetts’ new proof-of-vaccination website in partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH). The solution launched on Monday, January 10th 2022.
SSG’s Casetivity platform serves as the core and base of this new consumer access solution, called My Vax Records, and connects directly with the Commonwealth’s Immunization Information System (IIS) to provide consumers secure access to their vaccine records.
The tool was created to help residents who want to show their vaccination history in a convenient way on their smart phone – whether that’s via a link in a text message, a QR code that can be saved to phone health or wallet apps, or a screenshot on a camera roll.
My Vax Records can consolidate multiple records for an individual from different providers into one master record, and it also allows consumers to see all of their previous immunizations, not just their COVID-19 vaccinations. Additionally, consumers can access their dependents’ complete immunization records from the same application.
The QR code that is provided is accepted at local businesses like restaurants, gyms, and entertainment venues that are now requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination for entry.
To access My Vax Records, users can visit the website and enter their information in. Within 24 hours, users can expect to get a response. When their record is ready, they’ll get a text message with a link to their record and a SMART health card, with a QR code.
As of 12:00pm EST on Tuesday, January 11th 2022 (less than 24 hours after launch), the Commonwealth had almost 265,000 individuals successfully access their record. That covers over 3% of Massachusetts’ population already!
Also, a high volume of users accessed their vaccine records quickly and easily after putting in the initial request. Casetivity processed as many as 1,360 registration requests per minute at peak times; a noteworthy achievement.
